Kimberwood Shetlands |

Emily is our new "Blue" Border Collie we
purchased in July during the AGM. She comes from John and Lynn McKay in
Kingston Ontario (Woolly Acres Farm). Blue Border Collies are few and
far between. It's a recessive gene that only pops up occasionally. As
a Shetland breeder I would describe her color as "Emsket", a
beautiful pewter grey. We hope that she will someday help us manage our
Shetland flock. |

Emily is now 6 months old and an angel! I was worried that she might be a handful but so far she has been wonderful. She comes when she is called, she will sit and stay. She kind of knows down but sometimes has to think about it. She loves to come with me to do barn chores and is very interested in the sheep. She still has a few months yet before we can start training her to herd. In the house she loves to "herd" the cat and in the barn she loves to chase the cats! |
